As leaders in the classroom we need to remember that we are responsible for our part of every interaction we have with every student. That includes our reaction to attitude. Not always easy! Patience is the key to keeping control of our 50% of the interaction. By doing this we are teaching our students a very important lesson! We are showing them how to appropriately control their 50%. Important to note: this has NOTHING to do with winning or losing...OR getting even when we might feel disrespected.
