This exact subject came up in a question from one of the
principals during my presentation yesterday. The meaning of the words students
use when stressed can be misunderstood and this can quickly escalate the
situation for the adult who isn't regulating their emotions. The process of
managing the situation must begin with both individuals being in a regulated
