Building Hope

How does one build hope and resilience in a child? Listen to the personal childhood story of Michael Kalous and why he believes his life ended up different than that of his brothers. Micheal believes the following were factors: 1. Having a hero who loved, accepted, and supported him, allowing him to develop a moral compass of his own. 2. Having a refuge and solitude where he was safe and able to contemplate life. 3. Having a voice and being able to express himself. 4. Having a defined purpose and being able to give of himself to others to gain a better understanding of his role in the world. These are all factors that WE ALL can provide for those who have suffered any kind of trauma or struggle.
