We will be focusing our attention on "Employability" over the next several weeks in REACH. Watch the following video for a little job interview humor.
In the coming weeks we will be focusing on personal attributes employers are looking for vs. the characteristics we have. Our literacy focus will be on filling out job applications and visiting about good references and why they are important. We will be digging deeper into what commitment and accountability look like in the workplace. We will be talking about compliance with employer expectations, but balancing that with being self-driven to be even better than what is expected of us. These are the things that make a good employee. It is our intent to have students look at how REACH (Relationships, Education, Accountability, Character, and Hard work) apply not only right now in the classroom, but also in the workplace.
